NEW: Call your metrics whatever you want

Every team has its own language for its numbers. Maybe you say “Run-rate ARR” instead of “ARR,” or “Monthly Revenue” instead of “MRR.” Now Baremetrics can speak your language too! Admins can rename any built-in metric so it matches what your team already calls it.

How it works

  1. Open any metric, like Metrics → ARR
  2. Click the little ✏️ pencil next to the title
  3. Type the new name and hit Save

That’s it! Everyone on your account sees the new name right away.

Where your new name shows up

  • The metric’s page and chart
  • The Metrics menu
  • Dashboards, including shared dashboard links
  • Email and Slack reports
  • Goals and Benchmarks

Good to know

  • Only the name changes. Your numbers and calculations stay exactly the same.
  • The API and MCP server keep the standard names, so your integrations won’t break.
  • Changed your mind? Click the pencil and choose Reset to default.

Why we built it

Say your finance team counts ARR as the last 12 months of revenue. You can build that as a custom metric called “ARR” and rename our built-in ARR (12 × MRR) to “Run-rate ARR.” Both numbers sit side by side and never share a name.
