Improvement: Account Currency Setting

We've refined the account currency switching process within Baremetrics. The expected completion time has been updated to "several hours" instead of "30 minutes," allowing for a more reliable transition. During this period, certain features may be temporarily restricted to ensure accuracy and a smooth switch.

Stripe: Improved Accuracy in Subscription Trial Status

We’ve updated how we identify trial periods in our Stripe integration. Now, we’ll double-check that the plan amount is actually zero before marking a subscription as trialing. This helps us keep your subscription analytics spot-on, so you’re not left guessing about trial statuses based on invoice descriptions alone.

With this change, you’ll get even more accurate insights into your customers’ trial periods, making it easier to understand where they’re at. And don’t worry—this update has been thoroughly tested to work smoothly with your existing data. You can count on us to keep things clear and reliable!

Fix: Subscription State Handling for Cancellations

We’ve improved how our system handles same-day subscription cancellations, addressing an outlier issue that affected a small number of accounts. In cases where a subscription’s status changed multiple times in one day, duplicate entries could occur. We’ve retroactively corrected this for all accounts, so your account is already up-to-date.

Improved Currency Formatting in Metrics

We've fixed how quantified total amounts are displayed within Metrics. Previously, some currency values were shown as floating-point numbers, which caused issues when converting from cents to dollars. All amounts are correctly formatted as integers, ensuring that your financial reports are accurate and easy to understand.

Custom Dashboard Edit Mode FIx

We've made a small but useful fix to the custom dashboard editing experience. When you enter edit mode, the existing dashboard name will be automatically set as the current name. This means you can start making adjustments without having to re-enter the dashboard name, making your workflow a bit smoother and more efficient.

New Anonymization Setting

We've introduced a new 'anonymize' setting to enhance data privacy. When enabled, this setting will hide all sensitive customer information, such as names, emails, and phone numbers, for Stripe, Braintree, Chargebee, and Recurly integrations.

This means you can sync customer data without worrying about exposing personal details, making it easier to comply with data protection regulations. Enjoy increased data security and privacy with this new option.

To turn this feature on, simply request Anonymization from our support team.

Stripe Discount Handling for Metered/Usage Subscriptions

Our latest Stripe integration update ensures more accurate handling of discounts applied to subscriptions with metered plans, preventing any inaccuracy that could affect your metrics.

In the past, when a discount was applied to a metered billing plan and was eventually replaced with another discount, the customer's MRR would sometimes populate incorrectly in your account without the coupon. Now that's fixed! With these updates, you can expect more precise billing and fewer discrepancies, making your experience smoother and more reliable.

Please keep sharing your thoughts with us. Baremetrics is committed to refining our subscription metrics calculations and handling outliers.

Google Play Enhanced Subscription Interval Detection

We've made improvements to ensure that subscription plans are accurately identified within our Google Play integration.

With this update, we now ensure that you get the most accurate subscription plans, whether they're monthly, annual, or any other period. Previously, similar SKUs but different plans (like 'monthly' and 'annual') were causing inaccuracies. We'll now correctly determine the plan interval, making your billing and subscription management more precise and reliable.

Keep sharing your experiences and suggestions with us, and together, we can make Baremetrics even better!
