Google Play Enhanced Subscription Interval Detection

We've made improvements to ensure that subscription plans are accurately identified within our Google Play integration.

With this update, we now ensure that you get the most accurate subscription plans, whether they're monthly, annual, or any other period. Previously, similar SKUs but different plans (like 'monthly' and 'annual') were causing inaccuracies. We'll now correctly determine the plan interval, making your billing and subscription management more precise and reliable.

Keep sharing your experiences and suggestions with us, and together, we can make Baremetrics even better!

🌍Multi-currency handling for Stripe

If you have enabled Adaptive Pricing within Stripe, you will be pleased to know that we have upgraded our platform to show your customer's charges in their paid-in currency on their profile. This will help you monitor your customer's activity with greater ease and efficiency. Additionally, the metrics will be reported in your account currency, giving you a clearer view of your financials.

Chargebee Offers & Plan Lock

If you create offers within Chargebee (Product Catalog 2.0), sometimes Chargebee will send the plan interval incorrectly.

IE: If you offer an annual plan without a trial, with an introductory offer with a 50% discount. Chargebee presents the plan with a 12-month trial and daily billing. To address this issue, we have introduced a plan "lock" functionality that allows you to lock the previous interval. This will enable our system to accurately track and calculate your subscription charges, making sure that metrics are correct and reliable. Currently, this is a manual process that you will need to request from our Success team. In the future, however, this will be editable in your plan settings👀. If you encounter this issue, please reach out to success@baremetrics.com  to request the plan "lock" functionality and to help get started.

Customer's Tab Exports Improvement👏

Have you ever received an error when downloading customer data in our Customers Tab?  Now, when you download customer data, it will be sent directly to your email, which will eliminate the previous timeout error. Keep an eye out as we plan on releasing new customer reports in the near future👀

Manual Subscriptions - Edit Plan Names

We have added an improvement that allows you to edit plan names with manual subscriptions!

Manual subscriptions are a helpful tool for keeping track of your customers whom you manage outside of your payment provider. However, keeping track of your plans' names when using manual subscriptions could be difficult, as they could not be changed once added.

Now, you can easily edit plan names anytime with manual subscriptions so that your pricing structure is always up-to-date. To edit a plan name, go to the Plans tab in Baremetrics and click the Edit icon next to the plan you would like to change. Then, enter the new plan name in the box and click Save. It is that easy!

If you have any questions or feedback about this update, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team.

API - Proration Charge Fixes

Rolling out two improvements around proration in the API! 🎉

When a customer moves to a higher-priced tier - Proration items will be included on the next charge in their billing cycle. For example, a customer signs up for a $12/mo plan and upgrades to a $24/mo plan a week later. On the next charge, we'll do two things: $9 unused credit from their $12/mo plan, and $18 of usage from their $24/mo plan from the point the plan changed = $33 charge. This is a simple example, we'll calculate down to the second in reality.

When a customer moves to a lower priced tier -  If the change from one plan to another creates a proration larger than the following charge, or any number after that, a charge will not be created until the credit has been used. This is notable for annual to monthly plan changes, we'll keep track of the balance of the annual plan and resume charges when it has been used.
